Chaitanya Ravi, MD, FACP, SFHMDr. Chaitanya Ravi has been a LifeBridge Health physician for 28 years, starting at Northwest Hospital in 1988 and expanding to Sinai in 2005. A native of India, he has lived in Baltimore since 1987 with his wife of 35 years, Rajani, and their two daughters.

While recently updating their wills, he and Rajani decided that it “just made sense” to give back to the place that has been and continues to be such an important part of their lives. They chose to fund a charitable remainder trust that will ultimately benefit LifeBridge Health Affiliates. They have left their gift unrestricted to be used “as LifeBridge Health sees fit in years to come.”

“LifeBridge has been such an important presence in our community, helping to improve and save lives,” says Dr. Ravi. “I am so grateful for the opportunities it has given me. Both the staff and the patients feel like family to me.”

Dr. Ravi is a mentor, a research specialist, and an innovator, dedicated to the advancement of his profession and the well-being of his community. He serves on many boards and committees, has developed and directed multiple programs for the betterment of patient care and hospital efficiency, and has twice been voted “TopDoc” by his peers in Baltimore Magazine. He also used to help organize annual fundraising tennis tournaments.

“I can’t imagine ever wanting to retire,” he says. “My work at LifeBridge and giving back to our community make me feel whole.”

Dr. Ravi enjoys playing golf, studying astrophysics, and trying to take time to rest from his busy schedule when he can. He encourages others to support LifeBridge, simply saying, “It’s the right thing to do.”
